We help purpose driven brands design and deliver the strategies, partnerships, and storytelling they need to drive growth and shift culture.

Meet the Founder

Jamila Brown has spent over a decade at the intersection of culture, sustainability, and brand — most recently as Global Head of Sustainability and Social Impact at Soho House, where she built and led the group's impact agenda across its global portfolio.

Light/Work is the natural next chapter. An agency built on the belief that the most commercially successful brands of the next decade will be the ones that figured out purpose before it became a regulatory requirement.

Jamila works with founders, cultural institutions, and global brands to build strategies, programmes, partnerships and comms that hold up commercially, culturally, and under scrutiny. Her clients have included Apple, the Royal Household, and Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust.

She also hosts Ethically Questionable, a podcast presented by Polestar that asks the question most sustainability conversations have veered off course from: how do you keep having everything you want without wrecking the planet? It's the same question Light/Work exists to help brands answer.
